Boardang Boarding Fest 2026 took place on July 4–5, 2026, at Edutown Arena, BSD City, Tangerang. Carrying the theme “Lepas Landas” (Take Off), the two-day festival presented by ART Media Kreasi featured artists including Dewa 19, Mahalini, The Changcuters, Pamungkas, Sal Priadi, and Fiersa Besari, entertaining an audience of tens of thousands.

True to its name, Airplane Mode is designed to disconnect.
Amid the festival’s experience areas — Duty Free Zone, Sight Experience, and Food Experience — Seruniaudio × JBL introduced an enclosed listening space.
Once the door closed, the noise and bustle of the festival were left outside.
But this was not a silent room.
Inside, live electronic music performances took place — from DJ sets to live coding — all presented through an object-based spatial audio system (Object-Based).
What it offered was not silence, but control.
The music retained its intensity, but was presented in a space where every sound had its own position, free from being buried within the crowd.
Not an additional stage, but an entirely different way of listening.
What Is a Seruniaudio Immersive Cabin?

The Immersive Cabin is a 10 × 5-meter enclosed listening space located in the Duty Free Zone, featuring a hybrid 8.2 configuration powered by a JBL system.
The approach is intentionally unconventional:
The stereo system is retained at the front. This preserves the integrity of the original mix — vocals, key instruments, and low frequencies remain in the positions intended by the producer.
Six additional speakers function as spatial speakers, positioning sound objects around the listener.
Two subwoofers handle low-frequency energy.
This system operates on an object-based approach rather than a channel-based one. Sounds are not “assigned” to specific speakers; instead, they are positioned as objects within a three-dimensional space and then rendered in real time by the spatial audio processor developed in-house by the Seruniaudio team.
Why Object-Based?
In a live performance, the position of each sound is not predetermined — it is controlled and moved by the performer in real time.
A channel-based system cannot accommodate this dynamic positioning, whereas an object-based system can, because each sound is treated as an object that can be freely moved through the listening space.
Why Hybrid, Rather Than Full-Object?
Most music available today is still produced in stereo format.
Retaining the stereo system at the front ensures that the original mix is reproduced accurately, while the spatial layer adds a sense of three-dimensional space without compromising its balance.
Live Performance Inside the Cabin
Airplane Mode was not simply a space for playing recordings.
In addition to soundworks — sound pieces specifically designed for three-dimensional spaces rather than being reprocessed from stereo — the cabin hosted live electronic music performances, ranging from DJ sets to live coding.
The Immersive Cabin hosted exclusive live performances with several DJs in an intimate setting inside the cabin, including Ebolarama, Miffy, Luna, and ESSENT.
With its more intimate capacity, each visitor could experience electronic music performances through Seruniaudio’s spatial audio system, creating a listening experience unlike a conventional live performance.

What Did the Performers and Visitors Have to Say?
